What you can do in GZEL today
Different people can work in the same company, with access based on their role. The features below are part of the working GZEL platform.
Customers and suppliers
Invoice customers, record supplier invoices, and keep credit notes and debit notes with the accounts they belong to. Recurring billing, statements and account histories keep the records together.
Cash and journals
Record business bank and cash movements, manage petty cash, and raise general journals when accounting entries need to be made outside the normal customer or supplier processes.
Financial statements
Open the trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and detailed ledger for the period you choose.
VAT and income tax
VAT-registered businesses can work with VAT reports, VAT detail and a VAT201 field summary. An income tax calculation is also available with the financial reports.
People and approvals
Add the people who work in the business, control what they can access, and use approval workflows for selected work before it is accepted.
Stock and orders
Businesses that carry stock can manage inventory, goods receipts, purchase orders, stock adjustments and inventory reporting. Businesses that sell from quotations can also manage quotations and customer orders.

A subscriber can work with multiple companies that do not have to be related. Each company keeps its own books, documents, people and data. This also suits accountants managing the books of several customers.
POPIA and FICA records
Keep the business's POPIA and FICA policies, consent records and retention reviews together with the company records. Retention exceptions can be recorded with a reason and review date.
Subscription pricing from the Price book
GZEL is billed monthly from a published Price book: each own-business company, extra person who signs in, community scheme, letting entity, optional module and meeting instance has its own line. The promotional pricing page reads that same Price book, so a rate change in GZEL is the rate shown to the public.
